Yes, we only sell brand new factory sealed breast pumps.

Should I borrow or purchase a used breast pump?
|

NO! Breast pumps are single user products. Use by more than one person may present a health risk, and voids the warranty. Purchasing parts for a pump that been shared or used by another person is not recommended. " Many mothers have asked if they can safely sell, purchase, or use a previously owned breastpump. Medela is concerned about the health and welfare of breastfeeding mothers and their babies. There is evidence that bacteria and certain viruses may be transmittable through breastmilk. For this reason, it is not advisable to use a previously owned, personal use breastpump, such as Medela’s Pump In Style®. " ~ Medela, Inc.

Why do you sell your pumps at such low prices?
|

As a Certified Nurse Midwife and owner of the company, our goal is to provide breast pumps that are accessible and affordable, so that mothers will choose breast milk as the primary source of nutrition for their babies.
In addition, since we are a licensed home medical supply and all of our products are "medical equipment", we are able to sell at a lower tax rate for Illinois residents.

Does Illinois Medicaid cover maternity home medical supplies?
|
|
|
Illinois Medicaid covers all supplies that are listed on the preprinted Rx or Provider Order Form. The form must be signed by your physician, midwife or nurse practitioner and faxed with your Medicaid recipient number. At this time, we are not enrolled in any Illinois Medicaid HMO programs such as Harmony Health Plan or Family Health Network. Illinois Health Connect is accepted.
We are currently only accepting Illinois Medicaid but we are working to enroll in other state programs.

Do other insurance companies such as Blue Cross or United Health Care cover home medical supplies?
|
|
Insurance coverage varies depending on benefits that are determined by your employer. You may purchase supplies using Visa/Mastercard and we will supply an invoice, receipt and letter of medical necessity for you to submit to your insurance company. There is no guarantee but many customers have been successful. Please contact us if you have any questions. Insurance companies may be more likely to reimburse when purchases are made from a home medical supply rather than a department store.

Do you rent breast pumps?
|
|
|
We are not a rental station. Rental can become quite expensive and we feel that the money spent on a hospital grade pump would be better invested by purchasing your own quality breast pump. All of our pumps are meant for everyday pumping. They are portable compared to a larger rental pump for when mothers need to return to work or school. If this is your first child, you can use your pump in the future as well. Less expensive pumps will only leave you disappointed and frustrated. With a good quality pump, you will be likely to breast feed longer. Consider the expense of formula feeding - Breastmilk is FREE!

What is a Flex Spending Account?
|
|
|
A Flex Spending Account is a benefit offered by your employer. Flexible Spending Accounts issue debit or credit cards which allow for the automatic electronic transfer of pre-tax dollars from an employee account when paying for qualified expenses. Employees are able to receive immediate reimbursement of their medical expenses. The normal paper claims process is eliminated, as are worries of forgotten purchases or lost receipts. We are a home medical supply, so your purchase is considered "qualified".
