PERINATAL HOME MEDICAL SUPPLY, INC. was conceived to meet the needs of pregnant women. There is no other home medical supply that only carries maternity products. Most others provide oxygen, wheelchairs, diabetic and wound supplies etc.
I am a Certified Nurse Midwife with over 20 years of women's health care experience. I believe that all women should have access to maternity home medical supply products when medically indicated. We are a licensed Home Medical Equipment & Services Provider in the State of Illinois and we are an enrolled provider for Illinois Healthcare and Family Services (Illinois Medicaid).
PREGNANCY DISCOMFORTS
I understand the physical discomforts of pregnancy and the physiology behind those aches and pains. I know that a lumbar support garment or compression pantyhose can relieve lower back pain, sciatica and varicose veins. An abdominal binder can support the growing pregnant abdomen, keeping the baby "head down" if prone to turning to breech and provides post-operative support after a cesarean delivery.
ELECTRIC BREAST PUMPS
We know that breastfeeding is the best source of nutrition for your new baby. It has been my experience that some mothers have the intent to breastfeed and then give up. I also know that access to an electric breast pump (as well as peer or professional support) can have an impact on how long a mother will breastfeed her baby. So often I hear a mother tell me that she does not believe she is producing enough breast milk. An electric breast pump will help a mother initiate, sustain, express and measure her breast milk supply. This will give her reassurance that her breasts are in fact producing enough milk for her baby.
Other reasons why an electric breastpump is helpful:
- Provide breast milk and maintain lactation when baby is premature or hospitalized
- Pull out an inverted or flat nipple so that the baby can grasp more easily
- Aid the healing process of sore nipples
- Relieve engorgement
- Express breast milk for your baby for dad or grandma or siblings to feed
- Maintain lactation and provide breast milk for your baby once you return to work or school
- To increase milk supply
We are dedicated to providing quality products and superior customer service.
